QuidditchUK are delighted to announce the 21 athletes who have been chosen to represent Team UK at the IQA European Games 2017 this July in Oslo, Norway.
Team UK and the Team UK Expansion squad have been training all season with the aim of impressing the Team UK coaching staff and making the final 21 and each and every member has shown why they are considered an elite player in the UK.
The squad chosen have consistently proven they can play at the very top level and collectively will form an incredible team capable of challenging for and aiming for the gold at the European Games.
Bill Orridge will captain the team, having been part of the previous 2 iterations of Team UK and vice-captaining them at European Games 2015. Bill is one of the most experienced members of the side and is an exemplary player who will set a fantastic example on the pitch.

"It is never easy to leave players out of the squad when they work so hard for our team" said Oughtibridge. "I know that they will continue to work for their places in future tournaments, but now all of our attention turns to the European Games. The coaching team are confident that the 21 players chosen will represent the best of UK quidditch both on and off the pitch. We enter the tournament as the best team in Europe. We intend to end the tournament the same way."
